Additional Delegates Meeting: Wednesday 7th May 2008
7.00 pm McEwen Reserve
As a result of the withdrawal of the Euroa & Echuca A teams from the A women’s competition and their subsequent transfer into the B Women’s competition, a recommendation from the delegates meeting of 9th April 2008 has proposed the following
“That for the 2008 Hockey Season that the A&B Women’s competition be amalgamated for an agreed number of rotations (each team plays each other a suitable number of times to stabilize teams & players) before separating to play an A Grade final & B Grade final.”
The Executive committee has endorsed this proposal and recommended that at the next delegates meeting (7-5-08), that the club’s delegates & at least one women’s team representative be in attendance to discuss and make a recommendation to the Executive on the preferred finals arrangements for the executives ultimate endorsement.
The existing standing rules on voting rights remains in power with 2 votes per club no matter the number of representatives in attendance.
Some of the possible finals options:
From the 10 team combined competition“Spilt top 4 of each 5 teams to play in finals”
“Spilt nominated A Grade (3 teams) & B Grade (7 teams) out at end of round robins to play finals”
“Spilt top 4 of each 5 teams to play in finals” use handicap system (bonus goals) to even teams up where large separation between A & B grade teams in finals.
